The body of 14-year-old Shatavia “Tae” Anderson was found Saturday in a field near her family’s apartment complex. Houston police are still investigating what led to her death.
Anderson’s stepfather, Christopher Jacobs, says the girl told her family she was going to see relatives on Friday night. According to HPD, Anderson was attacked and robbed while walking home early Saturday, at which time she was likely shot.
